Hi, I'm Arianne, captain and founder of Aeolidia, the famed design studio that has been building hundreds of transformative websites for creative shop owners since 2004. This is about a return to the roots of why you started your creative shop in the first place, and an honest examination of whether your original intentions are still working.

We do this through a survey of marketing fundamentals: Who is your target customer? How are you different from your competitors? What problems do your products solve? How do you create value?

  • We’ll start by examining your current customer base, and we’ll do some real talk about whether or not you feel good about selling to those customers.
  • We’ll talk about the problem your product solves, even if you think it doesn’t actually solve a problem.
  • We’ll do a deep dive into how your business is different from your competitors.
  • We’ll talk about how to stand out in a competitive marketplace by connecting with a smaller tribe of people who really “get” you (and how to find those people).
  • We’ll pepper in plenty of examples of businesses that are doing things right, with stories from businesses that struggled to hit the mark the first time around—and how they achieved their own breakthroughs.

This October, we’re offering this class in an intimate online group setting to just 15 creative shop owners. In the first three weeks, we will pull out the guts of your business, lay it all out on the table, and perform a radical assessment of what’s working, what’s not working and why. Two ways to participate

Group Course

Arianne will host a 4-week guided version of this course to a select group of 15 participants, from October 9-30, 2017. This includes 3 weeks of course material plus a bonus week for group feedback, Q+A, and a personal 1-on-1 session with feedback from Arianne.

In the group course, you'll get access to all the course material PLUS:

  • A Facebook group only for course participants, where Arianne will be actively answering questions and offering feedback about your specific problems and questions
  • Three weekly emails that include new information based on the conversation in the group (that will also take you to the Teachable learning platform to get each day's lesson: one bite-size chunk of action to take, real life examples, and guidance on how to get started with it)
  • The ability to take every bit of your course work to the group for discussion and refinement
  • Weekly live video Q+A sessions (3 total) with Arianne, where you can get help getting unstuck on any of the steps outlined in the course and ask your questions directly
  • A personal, 30-minute one-on-one session with Arianne during week 4 to get individual feedback on your business based on her 13+ years of expertise working with "big little" creative businesses on their branding and websites

Solo Course

Get access to the material and work at your own pace.

You will receive the same lessons through Teachable as above, but the course will be entirely self-guided over email and the web. You won't have access to the Facebook community of students or one-on-one consultation or advice specific to your business from Arianne.

This class is for you if:

Do I need to block out time on specific days? What time of day will live content happen?
I haven't scheduled Q&As yet, because I wanted to work with our group to see what would be best for you. Any live videos or Q&A sessions will be saved to the Facebook group and can be replayed at any time. I will also be asking for questions in advance of each session. So if you have a question and can't make it live, I will be able to answer your question, and you can re-watch that any time.

The most important parts of this class are doing the work yourself, and getting the help and feedback of me and the group, which will be available around the clock. I will prompt the group with the day's topic, but it's also fine if you want to go back to an earlier topic and keep exploring it. And we can schedule your one-on-one phone call with me for any time that works for us both. The timeline is pretty flexible and forgiving. If you need a few days off, that won't ruin it for you!
When does the Group course start and finish?
We begin as a tight-knit group of instructor and no more than 15 students on Monday, October 9, 2017. The course is three weeks plus your one-on-one consultation with me during the week of October 30, 2017.
When does the Solo course start and finish?
The course starts now and never ends! It is a completely self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish.
How long do I have access to the course?
How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own.
Can I preview the course?
Yes! Scroll up to the lesson list and you can click the "preview" button and get lesson 3 for free, to see an example of how our lessons go (though there's nothing like getting immediate helpful feedback and new ideas from our tight knit group of motivated business owners about each lesson).
